  • Applicants must have an established UK academic host institution prior to applying.
  • Existing entry requirements for each fellowship scheme apply.

Application information

  • All sections of the online application form must be completed, as outlined on the individual fellowship scheme pages.
  • Applicants must indicate they are re-entering academia from industry within the application form and provide the following details:
    • a summary of their research background during PhD and postdoctoral periods, including experience in both academic and industrial settings
    • a description of the applicant’s role in industry, detailing any research activities undertaken and the outcomes or outputs resulting from this work
    • a statement explaining their motivation to return to academia and how the fellowship will support this transition.
