In the BHF House of Care programme, a number of healthcare professionals described improvements in their morale and increased enjoyment of delivering LTC care for patients.1
In many practices, the roles of practice administrators, healthcare assistants and nurses have been expanded as they take on additional responsibility and are required to work with people with multiple LTCs.2
One GP described the House of Care framework as allowing nurses to work “at the top of their licence”.3 Many reported increased job satisfaction because of these expanded roles and the opportunity to focus more on patient needs.1 Staff also said the House of Care framework improved their efficiency and teamworking.1
