Volunteering in your local shop is a great way to meet new people and share your skills. There are a variety of roles and opportunities available for you to get involved with. Any time you can spare, we'd love for you to join our team.
How to apply for a role in your local shop
1. Find a role near you
Start by taking a look at our Retail volunteering roles. You can add a preferred location or find a role near you.
2. Choose the role you would like to apply for
The role description will include details of the role so you can make sure it's the right fit for you. It also includes the address so you can make sure you're applying to your preferred location.
3. Login or sign up to apply
If you already have a MyVolunteer account you will be asked to log in. If you need to sign up, fill in our simple application form.
Once you have applied for a role, we will be in touch to discuss next steps.
The roles available in our shops
Each shop is unique, and they all rely on an amazing team of volunteers who carry out different roles. These are the roles we have available in our shops:
Department coordinator
Our department coordinators help sort out and display fashion, accessories, books, vinyl, homeware and electrics.
Digital assistant
Put your digital skills into action by updating our online listings or helping with our online volunteer team recruitment.
Community roles
Get out and about in your community while volunteering as a Stock collection Driver, Stock Generator or recruiting volunteers in your area.
Behind the scenes
Join our team of stock room or warehouse volunteers in an active and hands on role.
Customer facing
Be the face of your local shop as a Customer Service assistant or Cash Desk volunteer.
