Thank you all for making the Coventry Bike Ride such a fantastic event!
An amazing 581 participants came down to Coombe Abbey and supported the British Heart Foundation, smashing our target of 250, putting this event firmly on the BHF cycling calendar, we are so pleased that we can offer such a successful event for the region.
We are hoping to raise £25,000 from yesterday’s event, please help us to reach our target. You may also have seen the competition we are running to win a Nintendo Wii; this is a free prize draw for all those people who raise over £50 sponsorship…good luck!
A big thank you also goes to all of the volunteers who helped keep everyone on track across the course and at the water stops – without them it would be difficult to offer such high standards of health and safety at our rides so we are forever grateful of the time our volunteers offer us. Some of the volunteers you would have seen throughout the course include Local Scouts and Explorer Scout Groups as well as the MKA Midland Ahmadiyya Muslim youth organization.
The Rotary Club of Coventry North for doing such a good job with signing our route, they were up at the crack of dawn to make sure it was right!
Coombe Abbey was a perfect setting for us too, and what can I say about the weather other than big smiley face!!
