The pop-rock band Scouting for Girls performed at one of our community fundraisers as part of our Raise Funds Your Way campaign
On Friday, hundreds of people joined our fight against heart disease by attending a fundraising festival called EmFest which was headlined by Scouting for Girls.
The event was organised by a group of volunteers from Oxfordshire in memory of Emma Gibson who suffered a fatal heart attack last February. So far, EmFest has raised over £5,500 for our life saving research into heart and circulatory disease.
Sarah Standing, BHF Fundraising Manager for Oxfordshire, said: ‘EmFest was an incredible event, which was only possible thanks to our volunteers and we would like to say a big thank you to them for raising a phenomenal amount of money for the BHF’s lifesaving research.
‘We never cease to be amazed by the extraordinary ways people fundraise for the BHF. If you have a unique way to raise money for the BHF, join our Raise Funds Your Way campaign.’
