The Only Way is Essex star Jessica Wright has joined the fight against heart disease by fronting our biggest fundraising campaign Wear it. Beat it. taking place on Friday 5th February.
The reality TV star is encouraging the nation to join her in looking red hot on Friday 5th February and holding a fundraising event to help raise £1million for new life saving heart research.
Jessica Wright said: “I’m so excited to be supporting the BHF’s Wear it. Beat it. campaign. Too many lives are cut short by heart disease every year, but by wearing red on February 5th we can help beat it together.
Whether it’s wearing a red hot dress, holding a red bake sale or painting your nails a racy shade of red, it’s the taking part and showing your heart that matters. Every pound raised will help make a difference to millions.”
Wear it. Beat it. this February
Heart and circulatory disease kills around 155,000 people in the UK each year - an average of one person every three minutes.
Since 2009 our Wear it. Beat it. campaign has raised over £6million towards new ground-breaking discoveries to help prevent and treat these devastating conditions.
Last year more than an incredible 23,000 people took part in Wear it. Beat it. and we're calling for even more of you to get involved this year to help raise £1million.
Whether you choose to go all out or just wear a splash of red, join the fun across the UK by organising an event this February to show your support. It’s a great way to get friends, family or work colleagues together and help make a difference to the 7million people living with heart and circulatory disease.
