A group of volunteers have organised EmFest after losing a close friend to coronary heart disease as part of Raise Funds Your Way.

The rock pop band, Scouting for Girls are set to headline EmFest on Friday 27 May in Long Hanborough, Oxfordshire.

Long Hanborough residents are raising funds their way in memory of music lover, Emma Gibson, who sadly died last February after suffering a heart attack at the age of 43.

EmFest volunteer, Nicky Busby said: "Emma's death hit so many people hard and has left a large hole in the community.   No one knew she had heart disease and we want to raise as much money for the BHF’s vital research as possible.  EmFest will be the perfect way to remember her life and do something for a good cause."

Coronary heart disease remains the UK’s single biggest killer taking 70,000 people away from their families each year.  Thanks to the public’s generosity, we are funding life saving research to discovering vital treatments for people living with these conditions.

That's why we urgently need more people to organise their own unique events like EmFest and join our Raise Funds Your Way campaign.

Tickets for EmFest are available now for £25 by emailing [email protected]
