David Lloyd Leisure celebrated the launch of its partnership with us with a 'Family and Friends weekend'.
The weekend welcomed David Lloyd Leisure members and their guests to experience the luxury gyms and take part in a host of activities to raise funds for our vital research.
The two year-long partnership will aim to raise £200,000 to help us in our fight against cardiovascular disease (CVD).
The disease kills more than one in four people in the UK, stealing them away from families and loved ones.
The weekend was the first of many fundraising activities planned for the partnership and included activities such as treadmill challenges, static cycle challenges, arts and crafts for children and a quiz.
The fundraising weekend saw all 78 David Lloyd Leisure gyms take part.
Throughout the partnership David Lloyd Leisure staff will also be supporting our fundraising campaigns such as Wear it. Beat it. in February 2016 and our flagship cycling event, the London to Brighton Bike Ride in June 2016.
