Next month, Calum Best, son of the late legendary footballer George Best, will be setting off on a ten day trek across the Himalayas to raise funds for our essential work.
On Tuesday 21st October, television personality and model Calum, will head off to India with friend Fraser on the Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek. This testing trek will see them cover 85km of mountain trails along the Uhl River in the shadows of the world’s highest peak, at altitudes of up to 10,000ft.
Calum says: “Ever since it’s been confirmed that we’re taking on this trek, I’ve been so excited. It’s going to be a huge physical and mental challenge at times but the aches and pains will all be worth it for the money we raise.
“For the past seven years, I’ve been leading a healthy lifestyle. I exercise daily and know through my own experience how important regular cardio activity is for your heart, so I’m really happy to be supporting the BHF through this challenge and raising as much money as possible for their amazing work.”
Keep up to date with Calum's progress
Calum will be posting regular updates throughout his journey on his twitter feed @CalumBest as well as filming his experience.
