Art with a Heart project

24 March 2014

Brides magazine launches its ‘Art with a Heart’ project, where names from fashion, art, music, media and television have sketched their ‘Ultimate Wedding Dress’.

The collection of unique sketches by Grayson Perry, Zandra Rhodes, Jo Wood, Ricky Wilson, Penny Lancaster, to name a few, was on display at Brides The Show this weekend.

Sketch auction

The sketches are being auctioned online with 100% of the profits going to help us to continue our life saving research into the fight against heart disease.

Brides magazine Editor Jade Beer comments, “From the pretty to the pretty wacky, this line up of celebrity-inspired wedding dresses has delighted (and divided) the Brides team in equal measure. We've all got our favourites but are agreed on one point - that everyone has shown an enormous degree of creativity and I am so pleased at the response we've had to such an incredibly worthwhile cause. It's an honour to be partnering with the British Heart Foundation. I've personally got my eye on two sketches which I'm hoping to win.”

Our Director of Fundraising, Louise Parkes, adds, “We are delighted to be chosen as the charity partner for Brides The Show. This is a very exciting partnership for BHF and we are thrilled with the support of everyone who has come together to produce these amazing wedding dress sketches. The money raised from the auction of the sketches will help us to continue the fight for every heartbeat.”
