Know Your Heart, a fun and interactive online tool about how the heart works, was one of the entries shortlisted at last night's British Medical Association Patient Information Awards.

The industry-leading BMA Patient Information Awards are designed to encourage excellence in the production and dissemination of accessible, well-designed and clinically balanced patient information.

The Know Your Heart tool is designed to help you learn how your heart works. It also helps to explain what you can do to help keep your heart healthy and lower your risk of getting cardiovascular disease. This fun online tool uses film, interactive tasks and quizzes to guide you through essential information.

The information is presented by Dr Hilary Jones, a celebrity doctor who regularly features on ITV's Daybreak.

We are pleased and proud to have been shortlisted.

Ceri Jones, our Head of Heart Health Resources and Community Support commented on the nomination:

"We are pleased and proud to have been shortlisted for this year's BMA Patient Information Awards. It's good to be acknowledged for the hard work charities like us put in to help patients get the information they need."

"Know your heart is an excellent resource for patients, the public, and health professionals alike to use to find out more about the heart, how it works and how heart disease can be prevented and risks lowered."
