Funding our work

Mark McLean at Newry BHF shop Currently, there are over 225,000 people battling with cardiovascular disease (CVD) in Northern Ireland. Our local work and research is powered by your support. Every minute of your time and every donation will help make a difference to local people's lives.

Support your local shop

We have eight British Heart Foundation shops across Northern Ireland in Bangor, Belfast, Enniskillen, Lisburn, Londonderry, Newry and Portadown.

Donate your unwanted items to our shops and help fund our life saving work.

If you have larger items you want to donate then you can book a free furniture collection

There a lots of way for you to donate to our fight for every heartbeat:

Take part

We are always looking for people to support us by raising money.

Alternatively, take part in an event for us.

If you want to be a bit more creative, do your own thing and fundraise for us. Our new fundraising guide is packed with ideas to help make your event a huge success.

Why not get in contact with your Northern Ireland Fundraising Manager, Gary Wilson, and find out more about:

  • Make BHF Northern Ireland your Charity of the Year – if you are part of a local group, club, organisation or business consider BHF Northern Ireland as your charity of the year.
  • Volunteering with a local Fundraising Group – have you a couple of hours to spare each month? Why not join one of our fundraising groups in Foyle, Coleraine, Newtownabbey or Craigavon?
  • Heart Towns – Coleraine and Craigavon are designated as Heart Towns and Lisburn is a Heart City. This is a partnership between the Councils and ourselves to help raise awareness of heart health in the area.
