Heart disease is heartless campaign

Boy and father in a classroom

We have recently launched our Heart Disease is Heartless campaign which features a young boy who discovers his father unexpectedly died from heart disease.

The advert brings to life the unfortunate reality faced by people who experience the sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one from heart disease.

We’ve come a long way in funding life saving research into heart disease, but we have a lot further to go as 1 in 4 people in the UK still die from heart and circulatory disease. This ad aims to raise awareness of this so that others don’t have to go through this type of heart-breaking experience.

We appreciate it is a highly emotional advert that can, for some people, trigger their own memories of losing someone they love. We understand how painful that can be, particularly for those who have lost a parent.

Should you wish to discuss any concerns with us, please contact our Supporter Services team on 0300 330 3322 or email [email protected] and someone will get back to you.

If you found the advert particularly distressing because of your own personal experience, we are aware of other charities that are available to help. Here are the contact details:

You can decide in your own time if you would like to get in contact with them - they can be really helpful even if you just want to talk to someone about what happened.
