Micaela Sharp of upholstery duo Sharp & Simpson and interior designer Beth Clancy, took on the BHF’s Makeover Challenge - furnishing a children’s bedroom with amazing finds from British Heart Foundation stores - for just under £500 and with only 10 hours to put their vision together.

Using a pastel colour scheme, Micaela and Beth went for a fun, gender-neutral theme for their children’s bedroom space, creating a look which could span across a variety of age groups.

“The Makeover Challenge really shines a light on what you can do with pre-loved furniture,” says Micaela, who bought a simple white single bed and toy box which was then upcycled using padding and fabric. ‘‘It’s a great opportunity to be creative and make a one of a kind, unique piece.”
