The Big Stitch 2018 Terms Conditions These are the terms and conditions which apply to your participation in The Big Stitch competition run by the British Heart Foundation. By submitting your entry you agree to these terms and conditions. If, you do not agree, please do not submit your entry. The Promoter of this competition is the British Heart Foundation, whose registered address is Greater London House, 180 Hampstead Road London, NW1 7AW. The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding British Heart Foundation employees, their immediate family, or any person or company associated with the draw. To enter the competition, shoppers must upload their ‘before’ and ‘after’ BHF customised item by tagging the BHF on Twitter, Instagram OR the BHF’s Facebook Page with the hashtag #TheBigStitch or via a photo attachment through the dedicated email [email protected] with the hashtag #TheBigStitch Entry opens on 01 July 2018 and closes at midnight on 15 July 2018. The winner will be announced on 03 August 2018. Entrants must purchase an item from a BHF shop and customise the BHF item to enter the competition. The Promoter may request evidence of proof of purchase before awarding the Prize. The competition will be judged independently and the winner will be contacted via the social media channel or email address in which they entered. There will be three prizes offered. These include: 1st – A choice of return flights for two people to European fashion destination Paris or Milan to the value of £250 / 2nd – A Janone 2200XT Sewing Machine worth £150 / 3rd – A £50 voucher towards a London sewing or dressmaking class or online course with Sew Over It (“The Prize”). The 1st prize must be fulfilled and used between 01 September 2018 - 30 November 2018. The winner will be given a choice between European fashion destinations Paris or Milan and will only be awarded with two return flight tickets. The return flights will be booked from the airport nearest to the winner’s residence and is subject to availability. The winner may be required to travel if the chosen airport is not available on selected dates. The British Heart Foundation will not cover travel expenses. The return flights will cover 2 nights only and to the value of £250 maximum, inclusive of both flights. The winner must select their chosen flights dates by 31 August 2018. The 2nd prize is awarded by Sew Essential and will be posted 2nd class to the winners chosen address. The 3rd prize is awarded by Sew Over It. The voucher must be used by 31 October 2018 and the voucher can be used to book a London studio class or online class. The Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and there are no cash substitutes. The British Heart Foundation will not cover travel expenses and winners are responsible for finding travel/accommodation if necessary. Entries will only be accepted on Instagram, Twitter, the BHF’s Facebook page or via the dedicated email address. Late, invalid, duplicate, or incomplete entries will not be considered, and we accept no responsibility or liability for any lost, delayed, damaged or incomplete entries howsoever caused. The Promoter may request evidence of age or any other applicable eligibility criteria from entrants before awarding the Prize. Winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter, appearing in pictures and videos on the day the Prize is awarded. If we are unable to make contact with the winners within 3 working days of the draw, the Promoter reserves the right to select a substitute winner. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the draw or the Prize due to any circumstances that arise beyond our control. The competition is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
