Oliver Proudlock, the former Reality TV star and Fashion Designer is inviting people to run for research and raise funds for our life saving research into heart disease.

Oliver Proudlock is fronting our Heart Runners events series this year. With a wide variety of BHF runs as well as third party events, Oliver is calling on the nation to get running this year and raise funds for our life saving research into heart and circulatory disease.

Front runner

Last April, Oliver joined the Heart Runners team when he took on the London Marathon for us. Oliver completed the 26.2 mile course in an incredible 3 hours and 4 minutes and raised over £2,500 for our research, after his family was hit with the devastating impact of heart disease. His grandmother died from a ruptured aorta, his uncle had heart bypass surgery, and his dad was diagnosed with a weak heart muscle in 2006.

Oliver said: “I am thrilled to be fronting the BHF’s 2016 running series campaign. It is such an important cause to me as there is a long history of heart disease in my family. Running the London Marathon as a BHF Heart Runner last year was an unforgettable experience, but you don’t need to run a marathon to make a difference. You can join the Heart Runners team and find a distance suitable for you. The BHF has such a wide range of events for you to choose from and you can feel proud to know that with every mile you run, you are helping fund the BHF’s life saving research.

“My dad and uncle are just two out of seven million people living with heart and circulatory disease in the UK today, which is why the BHF’s work is so important. I would urge anyone to sign up to support the BHF by applying for a BHF charity place or signing up to do one of the BHF’s own running events.”
