Former cricketer James Taylor will be lending his support to the Emirates Old Trafford’s ‘Big Red Day’ to raise money for our research into heart disease.

The stadium will be turning red for the test match between England and Pakistan on Monday 25 July.

The England player James Taylor retired after being diagnosed with an inherited heart condition Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC).

Spectators will be encouraged to wear red and there will be a wide range of activities they can take part in on the day.

Michelle Bailey Fundraising Manager for Greater Manchester at the British Heart Foundation, said: “What a fantastic day of fundraising this promises to be! We cannot wait to see everyone wearing red and joining together to help us beat heart disease."
