Employee fundraising at Henry

Our partnership with GB Railfreight (GBRf) has made its first donation which totalled £70,000 to help us fund even more groundbreaking research.

In September, GB Railfreight ran a 15-year anniversary charity train tour which took passengers across the country in Class 87s, 50’s, 20’s and ‘Evening Star’ locomotives.

GBRf has also been busy hosting regular fundraising events throughout the year including bake sales, dress down days, football and netball tournaments and took part in our Bag it. Beat it. campaign.

Our thanks

Simon Gillespie, our Chief Executive, said:

“We urgently need to fund more life saving research to end the devastation heart disease leaves behind and save lives, which is why we’re absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as GB Railfreight’s Charity of the Year. Every pound raised throughout the partnership will help make a difference to millions.

“We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to GB Railfreight employees for dedicating their time and energy to help us continue our fight against heart disease.”
