Made in Chelsea stars Louise and Sam Thompson are joining the fight for every heartbeat by backing our new MyMarathon challenge to help raise money for life saving heart research.
The reality TV stars will be getting ready to take on our new fundraising challenge, to run a marathon over the month of May. With 31 days to complete their 26.2miles, the brother sister duo will be competing to see who can finish first as they aim to raise vital funds in the fight against heart disease.
Louise has starred in Made in Chelsea since 2011, before being joined by her brother Sam in 2013.
Louise said: “I’m delighted to support the British Heart Foundation’s MyMarathon challenge and do my bit to help support their life saving research. Keeping heart healthy is so important to me, so I really enjoy keeping fit and active. I think there will be some sibling rivalry as I’m determined to beat Sam and complete MyMarathon before him.”
Life saving research
Heart and circulatory disease affects around 7million people in the UK and is responsible for around 155,000 deaths each year – around one person every three minutes.
Every pound raised from MyMarathon will help us fund half a billion pounds of new research in the next five years, to revolutionise and accelerate the fight against heart disease.
Sam said: “I’m so excited to support the British Heart Foundation and take on their MyMarathon challenge this May. The money we raise will help save lives so we want everyone to get behind us and take part. Together we can beat heart disease. I just hope Louise doesn’t beat me!”
