We’re delighted to be holding our Annual Reception this year at St James’s Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip has been Patron of the BHF since it was founded in 1961.
Our Annual Reception is an opportunity for us to thank a selection of our supporters who have been instrumental in our fight against coronary heart disease, the UK’s single biggest killer. Around 300 volunteers, donors, researchers and supporters will attend the event on Wednesday 4 November.
Our Chief Executive, Simon Gillespie, comments: "We’re delighted that our Annual Reception will be held at St James’s Palace this year and our Patron, Prince Phillip, will be in attendance. His Royal Highness has given his unwavering support to the BHF over the years, helping us to continue our fight against heart disease through life saving research.
"Our generous supporters have been vital in this fight and our Annual Reception is an opportunity to thank some of the extraordinary people who have helped us save lives.”
