Yorkshire Man of Steel

We're delighted to be the beneficiary of the Yorkshire Man of Steel project, a new landmark structure overlooking the M1 near Meadowhall in South Yorkshire.

Within the 30 metre high Yorkshire Man of Steel is a heart which will bear up to 150,000 names - and you can support our work by being one of them. Every donation made to the Heart of Steel will in turn contribute 10 per cent towards our life saving research.

Chrish Perera, our Head of Community Fundraising said: “Our pioneering research has helped revolutionise the treatment of heart attacks and other cardiac conditions. But coronary heart disease is still the UK’s single biggest killer.

“Through this exciting project, your name – or that of a loved one – will power research that will save lives across the region and around the world.“

For over 50 years the BHF has pioneered research that has transformed the lives of millions of people. Our work drives vital treatments that are changing the fight against heart disease.

Support the Man of Steel

By choosing to have your name - or that of a loved one - incorporated into the Heart of Steel you will help bring this project to life and power our life saving research.
