Reality TV star, fashion designer and artist, Ollie Proudlock, is supporting us by completing his first ever Virgin Money London Marathon.
He will be pounding the streets of London along the 26.2 mile course to raise money for the 7 million people in the UK living with heart and circulatory disease. Ollie will be joining our Heart Runners team, made up of 481 men and women across the UK, running to raise over £800,000 towards our vital work.
Ollie recently kicked off his marathon training programme with a fitness session in Battersea Park, London with Louise Hazel, Olympian, Commonwealth Heptathlon Champion and the BHF’s Running Champion.
Ollie said: “I wanted to get involved because I have such a close link to the cause. I have a history of heart conditions in my family. My grandmother died from a ruptured aorta, my uncle had a double bypass, and my dad was diagnosed with a weak heart muscle in 2006 and told he had come dangerously close to having a heart attack.
“The BHF has funded decades of research to make sure more people survive heart surgery. I am so proud to be rising to this huge challenge and to be running the London Marathon to help the charity push the fight against heart disease onwards.
“Please dig deep and help me raise the funds they need to continue their life saving research.”
