Mollie King from the Saturdays posing

Last night saw a host of famous faces grace our red carpet for the inaugural Roll out the Red Ball.

The glitzy evening, which was hosted by The Saturday’s Mollie King, welcomed our Ambassador Pippa Middleton as well as James Middleton, Donna Air, Oliver Proudlock, Emma Louise Connolly, Duncan Bannatyne, Ali Bastian, Michelle Keegan, Lady Victoria Hervey, Louise Hazel and Danny Rampling to The Park Lane Hotel, Piccadilly for a night of fundraising.

The Roll out the Red Ball began with a champagne reception and a performance by classical singer Natalie Coyle. 360 guests enjoyed a three-course meal accompanied by Hardys wine. Entertainment on the night included comedy from special guest comedian, Simon Evans and music from UK Queen of Soul, Mica Paris and her band.

Successful bidding

The BBC Antiques Roadshows Stephen Somerville led the live auction which featured art by Sir Peter Blake, Dan Baldwin and Damien Hirst as well as an exclusive dance class with Strictly Come Dancing stars, Robin Windsor and Ali Bastian; and tickets to both the FA Cup Finals and Wimbledon Centre-Court.

The silent auction included a variety of VIP experiences and luxury items including a red LK Bennett dress donated by Pippa Middleton which sold for £2,000, VIP backstage passes to The Graham Norton Show; a VIP tour of the Red Arrows training base and a business lunch with Dragon's Den star and business guru Richard Farleigh. An afternoon of shopping and styling with Mollie King at Oasis raised a fantastic £3,500.

After dinner guests carried on the party with DJ Billy Clark in the bar with after dinner cocktails sponsored by Tanqueray London Dry Gin.

Fighting for every heartbeat

The event raised over £150,000. All proceeds from the event will help us continue the fight for every heartbeat.

There are 7 million people living with cardiovascular disease in the UK today and it is responsible for almost 160,000 deaths each year, an average of 440 people each day. Every pound raised makes a huge difference to our lifesaving research.
