Eat for Goals! is a brand new interactive cookery app for young people aged 7+ years, from the World Heart Federation with the support of UEFA and endorsed by the British Heart Foundation.
The app aims to help reduce future heart disease and stroke by encouraging and supporting heart-healthy living from an early age. In the UK, around 1 in 5 young people, aged between 10 to 11 years, are overweight or obese and nearly 30 per cent of boys and 40 per cent of girls do not reach the recommended level of physical activity a day (60 minutes).
Eat for Goals! is supported by 11 of the world’s leading male and female footballers, including Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Rachel Yankey, Yaya Touré and Cristiano Ronaldo, who share their own recipes for success, showing young people how they can cook and eat like champions.
It is all about healthy food, cooking and football. Eat for Goals! provides interesting food facts and step-by-step instructions making it easy for even the less-experienced to make delicious, healthy meals in no time at all.
Eat for Goals! for iPhone and iPad can be downloaded from the App Store. Healthy young people lead to healthy adults and healthy adults lead to healthy families and communities.
