Star Trekkers

18 March 2014

Gary, Joanne and Sukhdev have achieved extraordinary goals to fight heart disease but dispel the myth you need to be an iron man or woman to take part in one of our walking challenges.

Gary trekked 100km non-stop from London to Brighton despite a lifetime of heart disease. Joanne, after a triple heart bypass, is trekking the Yorkshire Three Peaks this July. Sukhdev, new to walking, hiked 17 miles in Derbyshire's High Peak Winter Hike in memory of his mum.

What our trekkers all have is the determination to fight heart disease and keep their own hearts healthy.

Our UK hikes and treks are for all ages and abilities, taking place in some of Britain’s most beautiful countryside.

Uk hikes and treks

The events can be challenging, but with the right training, your sense of pride and achievement at the finish line is worth every step, whether you’re hiking nine miles along Hadrian’s Wall or trekking through the night.
