A team of 85 riders, including Miles’ brother George, tackled a 370-mile-long challenge in the Quintessentially Foundation Bike Ride to raise funds for the Miles Frost Fund and Greenhouse Sports.

The Quintessentially Foundation embarked on a 370-mile-long cycling challenge from Bilbao to Barcelona on 8-13 June 2016.

The four-day cycling event raised over half a million pounds for the Miles Frost Fund and The Quintessentially Foundation’s charity of the year, Greenhouse Sports.

Raising funds

George Frost said: “This cycle ride was a fantastic way to mark the beginning of The Miles Frost Fund’s partnership with the BHF.

It was great to have such fantastic support from The Quintessentially Foundation, and the money we raised will help stop more people from going through the pain of losing a loved one to deadly heart conditions like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).”

The Miles Frost Fund

Miles Frost died suddenly of HCM in July 2015 aged just 31.

The coast-to-coast challenge marked the first of a series of fundraising events for The Miles Frost Fund.

Over the next three years, the fund aims to raise £1.5million towards the funding of genetic nurses and counsellors in inherited heart condition clinics, to ensure more people receive the screening and treatment they need.
