About Nation of Lifesavers

Children doing CPR Training

In the UK more than 30,000 cardiac arrests happen out of hospital each year; less than one in ten survive. Our mission is to create a Nation of Lifesavers.

Schools, community groups and workplaces across the UK can learn CPR with our Call Push Rescue Training Kit.

A lifesaving revolution

Over the next five years, we'll create a Nation of Lifesavers – a revolution in CPR training and defibrillator awareness that will help more people survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest.

We're determined that more lives will be saved each year because bystanders are trained and ready to take action.

Mission: CPR

Friday 16 October was European Restart a Heart Day. We teamed up with schools across the UK to teach CPR and transform over 30,000 pupils and teachers into a life saving force.

We also collaborated with fire and ambulance services around the country to empower pupils and teachers with the knowledge and skills that one day could save a life.

How you can get involved

We need your help to turn the tables on survival rates. There are several ways you can join the Nation of Lifesavers:

Learn CPR

"I owe everything to them really"

Alex learnt CPR at school last year as part of our Nation of Lifesavers campaign. Several months later he collapsed, requiring CPR in the school gym. The teacher and staff’s fast actions and knowledge helped save his life.
