Hearty Lives North West Glasgow and Hearty Lives Inverclyde are both £100,000 partnerships with Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board to help young people aged 16-18 manage their weight and improve their lifestyle.
The projects will set-up a weight management programme for young people aged 16-18 to support them manage their weight and improve their health by:
- Providing weight management support for at least 80 young people aged 16-18 during the first three years of the project
- Working with existing voluntary organisations and youth projects to maximize engagement with young people and develop longer term participation in physical activity and healthy eating activities
- Embedding the weight management programme into the range of weight management services provided by Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board.
