Family history in BSL

If your father or brother had coronary heart disease or a heart attack before the age of 55, or if your mother or sister had coronary heart disease or a heart attack before they were 65, then you might have a greater risk of having the same problem.

This is sometimes called a family history of heart disease.

You will need to talk to your doctor about how this might affect your risk of getting heart disease.

These British Sign Language (BSL) videos will help you to think about the things you could do to help you have a healthy life and a healthy heart, such as being aware of your family history.
