Take it to heart, by J D Milaric
JD Milaric is 58 and suffers from microvascular angina, sometimes known as cardiac syndrome X. Having had to retire due to ill health, he is keen to encourage others to act on their health before it is too late.
Will give you a lifetime of good service
If you are good to it
It needs from you a lifetime’s promise
To do your bit
So eat and drink the right stuff
Exercise regularly and keep it up
Cut down on, then cut out fully
And drinking alcohol excessively
Give your heart regular rest
From enduring too much stress
To help and support you make some lifestyle choices
The BHF has a full range of resources
In your endeavours
To do what matters
Now is the best time to start
Properly looking after your heart
