Opportunities to shape BHF's work

Scientist demonstrating BHF research

We're committed to ensuring people affected by heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors have the opportunity to influence and shape our work.

Here you'll find out about the different ways you can get involved to share your experiences.

Help us award £30 million in research

BHF’s Big Beat Challenge is a new £30 million research award that will give one research team the chance to identify and propose a transformational solution to a significant problem in heart or circulatory disease. We’re now looking to create a panel to review the applications from a patient and public perspective. They’ll be assessing the importance of the research question, the potential benefit and much more.

Your views on how technology can help patients and carers

You may be familiar with voice enabled technology, like Amazon Alexa. These devices look like speakers but act as personal assistants, for example, enabling people to set reminders, hear the news headlines or order shopping.

We're now looking to find out your views in a five to ten minute survey to help us decide how we can better use technology such as Alexa voice-assistants to help people affected by heart and circulatory conditions.

Complete the survey by Sunday 24 March 2019

Help us develop our award winning resources

Work with us, using your experiences of heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors, to ensure we're providing the information and support people need. Whether it's providing feedback online or face-to-face, we want to hear your thoughts.
