Patient involvement at the BHF

Want to use your experiences to help our work give people what they need? Join Heart Voices for the opportunity to share your unique perspective of heart and circulatory diseases to influence and shape our work whilst meeting others with similar stories to you.

What is Heart Voices?

We're committed to ensuring our work is informed by people, like you, whose experiences of heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors give them a personal understanding of what patients need and want.  To help us better meet these needs, we'll offer a range of different opportunities for you to share your experiences and opinions.

It was always a pleasure to be involved and has given me a huge amount. Everyone showed tremendous energy and commitment

For example, you could:

  • help develop new resources by providing feedback face-to-face and online
  • check progress of projects as they develop by becoming a patient rep
  • provide your views on research funding decisions by joining our patient group

These are only a couple of examples - there's plenty more on offer. You can get involved in as much or as little as you like, and with a wide range of opportunities you’ll be sure to find something that suits you.

By getting involved, you'll also have the chance to meet and share your stories with other people affected by heart or circulatory diseases.

What can I expect once I join Heart Voices?

By signing up we'll email you to let you know of the latest opportunities on offer and we'll send you our Heart Voices newsletter every six months to keep you updated on the latest projects people affected by heart and circulatory diseases have been involved in.
