Asking businesses to take a collection tin is a simple way to raise money continuously for BHF. Having someone to take on this role will also help you build relationships with local businesses that could lead to further involvement and sponsorship.
This role requires sensitivity. Getting in touch with local funeral directors to bring BHF to their attention, and providing a reliable point of contact for any money collected at funerals, is a valuable way to raise funds too. People often wish to benefit a charity in lieu of flowers.

Community Speaker Volunteer
Our Community Speaker volunteers are at the heart of our work to save lives. There are many ways you can help. You are the voice of the BHF in local communities and you help us reach more people than we ever could alone.
We have developed a Community Speaker Volunteer guide to support you in your role and a number of Community Speaker Volunteer resources that will help you to do your role more easily.
Please let your fundraising manager know if you book any talks and do let them know how it goes afterwards.
