Join us for a lovely sponsored walk organised by the BHF Worcestershire Fundraising Group to raise funds to power our lifesaving research.
Fun for all the family, (including four legged friends) you can choose between a 3 mile and 6 mile route, both of which are suitable for buggies and wheelchairs.
Please note that participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the day.
Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event - it's the money you raise that powers our life saving research.

Location and travel
Head to Foley's Cafe at the cricket club, where the walk will start.

Getting to the walk
From North: From the M5 junction 7 follow the cricket stumps on the road signs to the ground.
From South: From M5 junction 7 follow the cricket stumps on the road signs to the ground.
From East: From A422, Alcester, continue on this road to roundabout junction with A4440 (Swinesherd Way), take second exit at roundabout on to A44, continue to follow the A44 and it will lead you to New Road, the county ground will be on your left. From west: from A44, Evesham, stay on A44 (east) and it will lead you to New Road, the county ground will be on your left.
Once you are in Worcester city centre’s bus station that is beneath the Crown Gate Shopping Centre, walk out of the station, turn left, continue to walk straight ahead to a pedestrian crossing, walk across this and another pedestrian crossing, continue across the bridge over the Severn River and you will arrive at the county ground on your left.
Worcester Foregate Street is the closest train station to the county ground and is approximately 0.5miles from the ground.
To get to the county ground from Foregate Street station turn left out of the main entrance, head towards the cross where you turn right onto Broad Street.
Continue straight, across two pedestrian crossings to get to the other side of New Road, walk over the bridge and you will shortly arrive at the cricket ground on your left.
For event registration, approaching the cricket ground from Worcester Bridge onto New Road, walk past the main entrance and continue along footpath to the entrance of Foley’s (orange building). Once inside Foley’s, you will see the registration area.

You should wear comfortable, appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for walking.

Get your family and friends involved
Your family and friends could be part of the action as well.
Why not ask them to take part with you, or they could come and cheer you on. Ask them to look the part and ramp up the red.
Route and times
The Worcester Hearty Walk has a choice of 2 routes; a 3 mile trail suitable for all ages, abilities and buggies and a slightly more challenging 6 mile route.
Event location: The start of the walk and registration is at Foley's Cafe, Worcestershire Cricket Club.
Refreshments are available to purchase at Foleys from 8am - 4pm.

Toilets are available at the start and end of the course and are also available along the 6 mile route which will be clearly signposted on the day.
Please note there are no changing facilities or storage facilities.
