Crossing the finish line isn't the end of the journey. Try and keep the momentum of your fundraising up now you've completed the event. Spend time shouting loudly and proudly about your achievement. Tell everyone all about the event, the best bits, the hard parts and why you did it. And don't forget to share a link to your Just Giving page. You've completed something amazing and people will want to show their support.
And if you haven't started fundraising yet - it's never too late to set your page up.

Travel and parking
There’s parking at Kempton Park Racecourse. You can leave your vehicle here from event day up until midnight on Monday 3 July. It will be left entirely at your own risk. Alternatively you can get dropped off in the morning of the event.
Kempton Park is located on the A308 between Sunbury on Thames and Hampton Court, less than one mile from Junction 1 of the M3 via Junction 12 of the M25.
Kempton Park Station is situated just 200 yards from our registration area at the racecourse. Trains run every half an hour from London Waterloo with a 40 minute journey time.
Car travel and parking
There's plenty of pick up and supporter parking at Blackrock Car Park available from 05:00 Sunday 1 July.
Brighton is less than an hour from London by train and there are services from Victoria, London Bridge and Kings Cross. There are also frequent coastway services operating from Eastbourne, Lewes, Hastings, Worthing and Portsmouth. Please contact National Rail enquiries for more information 08457 48 49 50.
Become a champion fundraiser and make sure you're ready for the trek
Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event, but it's the money you raise that powers our life saving research. Previous Heart Trekkers have raised £400 for this event, many aim towards raising £500 and joining our 500 club, where you will receive a jersey which you can wear with pride during the event knowing you're a champion fundraiser. Get fit with the right kit
This event is a real test of endurance and mental strength, and we suggest you start training at least three months before the event, building up your distance mile by mile.
Our new training guide can help you with training schedules, fundraising, what to bring and wear plus much more.
Being active is an important part of reducing your risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
Although there will be sweeper vehicles along the route to collect heart trekkers needing assistance and take them to the most relevant location on the route, we strongly recommend every walker has access to their own support vehicle. This could be a friend or family member at the end of the phone who is available to come and pick you up. Read our support driver information pack to find out the location and facilities at each checkpoint.

At the London to Brighton Trek
Our trek takes you from Kempton Racecourse through Guildford, Cranleigh, Henfield along the south coast at Hove and into Brighton. It's quite a flat route but does include a couple of hills. Every walker will be given a map of the route before the walk. If you have a support driver, please ensure they receive a route map too.
The whole route will be signed with Day-Glo arrows and you will need to check in with the marshals at each checkpoint.
We recommend that you walk in pairs or more.
We strongly suggest that you bring a blister kit (including plasters and antiseptic cream)
There will be toilets along the route.
At each checkpoint (approximately every 10-15k), there will be a water stop where there will be varying facilities available to you, including an additional water supply if you running low on water. All checkpoint information is in the support driver pack.
During the event there will be points where you can buy refreshments however we would strongly advise you to bring your own supplementary snacks as well.
Kempton Park has its own train station and at the finish of the trek there is a free shuttle bus to Brighton train station which runs once an hour.
The route is a mix of tarmac paths, riverside paths and gravel and loose stone trails. We suggest light weight waterproof walking shoes for these types of surfaces, but you may find it useful to try different types of foot wear during your training to see what suits you best.
Trekkers are welcome to bring well behaved dogs on the challenge, but they must be able to cope with the distances involved. The decision to bring a dog is entirely at the discretion of the owner.
The BHF are able to transfer any extra luggage you don’t want to carry with you to the finish location of your trek. (Please ensure this is nothing more than one small bag as space will be limited in our vehicles) you should ensure everything you need whilst trekking is in your rucksack as you will not be able to access this additional bag until the finish. Please note, you'll be able to access your luggage at the halfway point.
At the finish
After being presented with your well-deserved medal, hot food, sports massage and a rest area will be provided at the finish along with a warm welcome from your supporters and the BHF events team.
There will be a shuttle bus from 5am on Sunday 1 July from Black Rock car park to Brighton train station, every 30 minutes.
If you have a support driver, they can park in Asda Brighton Marina Superstore, Brighton, BN2 5UT, pay and display is available for three hours, you can walk through the subway to Black Rock car park. Alternatively, park in pay and display bays to the west of Dukes Mound and ensure you pay and display.
There is a collection area in the Black Rock car park which will be a loading area only so you will be unable to park there for any length of time. Please utilise the parking options if you are parking for any length of time.
Welcome to the club
Our exclusive 500 club is for those who raise over £500. If you have £500 or more (excluding GiftAid) pledged by your supporters on your JustGiving page firstly congratulations you are amazing! You'll now be eligible to join the 500 Club and receive your exclusive BHF jersey
For teams to be eligible there must be at least £500 or more (excluding Gift Aid) pledged per person, along with the names of all eligible entrants showing on the team fundraising page and each individual needs to fill in a separate form in each case to claim the 500 club jersey.
(E.g A team of 4 would need a minimum of £2000 (exc Gift Aid) pledged on their team page)
