Team BHF is made up of 15 work colleagues from The British Heart Foundation. They have been inspired by London to Brighton participants to take part in the ride and beat the Beacon.
The Team is a mixed bunch with beginners, who have never previously owned a bike, to frequent cyclists and commuters. They are led by the team leader, Lee Sumner, the British Heart Foundation's very own Marketing Manager.
After nearly 2 years of working in events and meeting a lot of amazing eventers, I’m now excited to be riding with them and hearing their inspirational stories in our flagship event.
“I’m thrilled to be leading Team BHF and taking part in this year’s London to Brighton Bike Ride with a great group of colleagues. My family have a history of heart disease and my first interaction of giving back to our amazing charity was running the Great North Run in 2013 where I got the BHF events buzz.

When the team are not immersed in their day jobs at the BHF, you will find them riding two wheels in training, fundraising and getting together to support each other at every wheel spin. And if you see the Team on the day of the ride, don't forget to say Hi!
