Hair today, gone tomorrow

Two members of Team BHF baldly took to the barbers stool to shave their heads in order to raise money for the London to Brighton Bike Ride and meet their fundraising target.

George Mitchell and Oliver Redfern, two Team BHF members enjoyed their last Monday morning with a full head of hair before it was all to be shaved off to continue their London to Brighton Bike Ride fundraising.

As a crowd began to grow at the British Heart Foundation head office so did the nerves. Although the two were in safe hands as we had professional Barber, Ken and his adorable three legged dog Chico who came in to do the shaving.

The shaver was plugged in and George was up first

But thought better of it.

Next up in the chair was Ollie…

Soon enough it was all over and only Chico with a full head of hair.

In one afternoon Ollie and George managed to raise £30 through cash donations alone with more donations coming in through their JustGiving pages and text to donate. It was a fun and easy way to raise money and anyone can do it – if you’re brave enough! For more pictures and videos head over to our Facebook Events Page.

Great effort from both George and Ollie!
