We are delighted to announce that we have been chosen as TCS&Diligenta’s Charity of the Year for 2017 and 2018.
The money raised by TCS & Diligenta employees will help fund a pioneering study, led by
BHF Professor Nilesh Samani, to improve our understanding of ageing and the risks of developing age-associated diseases.
By working with the UK Bio Bank and studying the way our DNA is copied from old to new cells, this landmark project hopes to identify personal, environmental and lifestyle factors which contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease.
What’s more, this research will be available for specialists in fields such as dementia and cancer, to help the fight against all age related diseases.
TCS & Diligenta will also be joining our mission to create a nation of life-savers, rolling out Call Push Rescue training to employees.
“I am very honoured that TCS has a new partnership with the British Heart Foundation. We look forward to our joint work to raise awareness about health and well-being among our employees, as well as the importance of Call Push Rescue training and fundraising. We hope the money we raise will allow the BHF to do more research and develop better understanding of the causes and outcomes of heart disease and to help save more lives.“ - Shankar Narayanan, Country Head UK&I, Tata Consultancy Services.
