Lost, by Mr M Doel

What to do when someone dies

Not grown in full yet lost

Love’s gift that cannot be replaced

What fun your smile

The walks for miles

Your loving happy face

Sleep our gift of love

Your light will never leave us

Remember you our lives through

You didn’t mean to leave us

Not grown but you gave all

Always blind to our every sin

We’re going to miss your kiss

Thank you for a million things

Not grown yet laugh no more

Why is it us to pay the price

The Lord tests us, we’re strong enough

To bear the sacrifice

Not grown and yet that touch

That grows into a love so deep

Our life’s regret we won’t forget

Whilst you, our baby, sleeps
