In 2014, we launched a new strategy in which we committed to investing at least half a billion pounds in research into heart and circulatory diseases. As part of this strategy, the way we support children and young people has also undergone some important changes.
We have reviewed our work to ensure our plans will have the biggest impact on heart patients, and reflect our focus as a medical research charity. As a result, in July 2016 we stopped a small number of our activities, including Artiebeat and Yoobot, because they replicated the great work that other organisations are already doing.
We will continue to provide information for adults about how to manage risk factors for heart and circulatory disease including diet, blood pressure and cholesterol.
Your support powers our research. Every pound raised and every minute of your time will help make a massive difference to people's lives.
If you would like to get involved, our fundraising events for schools are fun, simple to organise, and help children get more active. Suitable for children aged five and older, our events can be held in schools, local communities and groups.
