BHF Alliance Conference

We're here to help you to with your learning and development. To access financial support and a wealth of knowledge, join the BHF Alliance.

Alliance members can apply for grants to support learning and development needs, which enable you to improve the care provided to patients with, or at risk, of cardiovascular disease. 

Through these grants we can support you to attend conferences, training courses, university modules and access online development. 

You can only access learning and development grants if you're an Alliance member.

If you're already a member of the Alliance, apply for a grant to make the most of your membership.

If you're an Alliance member and have never applied for a grant before, you will need to click on the link below and register as a new user on our Grant Management System. You must use the same email address that you used to register with the Alliance. Once you are registered, you will need to log in to complete an online application form. British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR)

The BACPR is a registered charity which represents and serves the interests of professionals engaged in cardiovascular

rehabilitation. BACPR Education coordinates both the well respected BACPR Specialist Level 4 Exercise Instructor qualification and a range of short courses for health and exercise professionals involved in cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation.

Future Learn - Heart Health

University of Reading shieldStarting on September 5th 2016, learn more about how your heart works, the causes of heart disease and how to keep your heart healthy with this four week free online course. This beginner’s course is aimed at anyone with an interest in how the heart works and the diseases that commonly affect it.

Glasgow Caledonian University - Supportive palliative care

The School of Health within Glasgow Caledonian University offers a Continuing Professional Development specialist module in Heart Failure and Palliative Care. This short module is aimed at Health and Social Care Professionals from across all Health Care Settings who have a specialist role or interest in the combined concepts of both Heart Failure and Palliative Care. This short module is supported by multidisciplinary clinical experts and includes innovative learning methods to facilitate independent and flexible learning.

Chest Heart and Stoke Scotland have developed a fantastic new online learning resource, HEARTe. HEARTe can be used to enhance your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) or to enhance your overall cardiac knowledge. The course features eight fantastic modules covering; Healthy Heart and Investigations, Primary Prevention of Heart Disease, Stable Coronary Heart Disease, Acute Coronary Syndromes, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Heart Failure, Palliative Care and Atrial Fibrillation.
