Saving lives

Students learning CPR Far too many people in Scotland die as a result of a cardiac arrest. But we’re determined to change that, by creating a nation of lifesavers. We are making kits free to secondary schools, colleges and community groups.

Call Push Rescue

Our Call Push Rescue training kits are a simple and effective way of learning how to save a life if someone has a cardiac arrest. Kits are available for schools, community groups and workplaces.

We’ve already put thousands of lifesavers on Scotland’s streets. Almost 75,000 people in communities and schools have taken part in our Heartstart training to learn emergency life support skills. But there is still a lot more to be done.

In the last year, with your help, we placed 60 lifesaving public access defibrillators in communities across Scotland. That brings the total to more than 1,000 defibrillators in the places they’re needed most, including sports centres, shopping centres and train stations.
