The National charity partnership, which launched in January 2015 aims to help people reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, both of which are largely preventable.
The partnership aims to raise £30 million over three years. It will spend half of the money directly on projects to help prevent Type 2 diabetes and heart and circulatory disease, and the remaining funds will be split equally between us and Diabetes UK.
Your support will help us save lives through helping millions eat better and get active, reducing the risk of serious ill-health in the future, as well as help fund the vital work we do across the UK.
Ways in which to do this include;
A free real-life walking and cycling game to get kids and their families moving. So far, Beat the Street has visited North Lanarkshire, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Nottingham, East London, Sandwell and Belfast. It will return to these 6 areas in 2017.
Holiday lunch clubs
Free food-based workshops to motivate and inspire families to change their eating habits for the better.
Getting fitter and healthier couldn’t be easier with the free Let’s Do This Goal Setter. Set your goal, track your progress and celebrate your achievements. You can even book yourself rewards when you’ve reached your goal, before taking it up a level and trying something new.
