Activity started with a big red splash in February for Wear it. Beat it. and a calendar of events took place throughout the year.
Staff and customers across the country got involved in a variety of initiatives to raise funds; from supporting BHF campaigns and transforming bags into breakthroughs by donating lost property to BHF shops
, to organising their own fundraisers such as quizzes and karaoke nights.
Overall, TCG raised a fantastic £56,396.54 and collected stock for BHF shops which could raise approximately £4,314; a brilliant achievement which is helping us take vital steps forward in the fight to end heart disease.
Nigel Wright, chief operating officer of TCG, said 'BHF's mission to 'fight for every heartbeat' is one that resonated with team members and customers in all our pubs and bars. I'm delighted with the response by so many of our sites who 'did something red' to raise money.'
