Nationwide Building Society has joined the fight for every heartbeat by partnering with us in support of our Nation of Lifesavers campaign.

Our year-long collaboration launched in July 2016 and aims to create 35,000 potential lifesavers.

Nation of Lifesavers

Close to 4,900 Nationwide employees will learn how to perform lifesaving CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) using our innovative Call Push Rescue training model, and will be encouraged to share these vital skills with local schools and community groups across the UK.

Nationwide are also funding Call Push Rescue kits for 226 schools across the UK, helping empower a new generation of lifesavers.

Like us, Nationwide is determined to try and improve survival rates from cardiac arrest by ensuring more people are trained and ready to take action in this ultimate medical emergency.

Cassie Percy, Citizenship Manager at Nationwide says: “We’re really excited that we can support the British Heart Foundation’s Nation of Lifesavers campaign through our network of employees across the UK and by helping fund CPR kits for schools.

"Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any age, in any location and by giving CPR before an ambulance arrives you can help double the chance of survival in some cases. One of our employees helped to save a life outside one of our branches, using their skills and confidence from the training. It’s amazing what 30 minutes of learning can do – in fact, it’s life changing."
