Join the fight for every heartbeat this May with a sponsored walk along the beautiful Bewl Water. The route is suitable for all abilities and you can choose your challenge from 3, 6, 9 or 13 mile circular routes.

It's a great event for all the family - why not bring your family, friends and dogs along for a fun day out.

Please note that participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the day.

Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event - it's the money you raise that powers our life saving research. We’re asking all participants to try and raise a minimum of £50 to help with our fight for every heartbeat.

Location and travel

Bewl Water, Bewlbridge Lane, Lamberhurst, Kent, TN3 8JH

Getting there by car

Bewl water is situated one mile south of Lamberhurst off the main A21 London to Hastings Road. 

Turn off the A21 at the traffic islands marker with the brown Bewl Water sign and follow the road to the entrance gate.

Get fit for your challenge

Make sure you have the right kit

You should wear comfortable, appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for walking.

Get your family and friends involved

Your family and friends could be part of the action as well. Why not ask them to take part with you, or they could come along and cheer you on.

Route and times

The circular route takes you around Bewl Water Reservoir and is accessible to pushchair/wheelchair users but they will be limited to tarmac areas of the route. 

You can choose your challenge from 3, 6, 9 or 13 mile circular routes.

On the day times:

Check in desk opens from:  09:00 - 10:00
 Walk starts:  09:30
 Walk finishes:  16:00


This event is marshalled with first aid provided. It is advisable that participants take bottled water along for the walk.

Toilets are available in the visitor centre. Unfortunately there are no lockers or bag storage facilities available. 

Dogs are permitted to be at the event on their leads but they're not allowed in the water.

Please note that there is a £2 per car entry charge at Bewl Water Reservoir.
