More event details

When: 5 - 6 May 2018

Where: Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight trek is 106km of stunning coastal paths, white cliffs and sandy beaches. You can walk, jog or run on this challenge, with the option of spreading it out over 2 days. Action Challenge will be there offering full support and hospitality all the way to the finish line. You'll find no other trek in the UK like it.

If 106km sounds a bit daunting, then there is the option of a 52km and 25km trek where you can go at your own pace and you'll still get the same benefits as everyone else.

Whether you take part as an individual or part of a team, we will be there to support you from when you register to finish line.

Training and kit

Plan your training with expert tips and advice in our Walking Training Zone

Our challenge kit list lets you know what to wear and bring with you on the day.

You will be required to raise 50% of your fundraising six weeks before your challenge to secure your place. The remaining 50% can be sent in up to four weeks after you’ve completed the challenge. Do you have a JustGiving page? If not then we recommend you set one up to help you reach your goal. Taking on the Isle of Wight trek is a huge challenge but it is one you should be proud of so tell your friends, family and colleagues.

Why set up a JustGiving page?

Setting up a JustGiving page is a great way to kick start your fundraising, and keep your sponsors up-to-date with what you’re doing.

Did you know…

  • People who have a JustGiving page raise 50% more money than those who don’t
  • Every time you share your page you’ll earn £5 on average
  • Every time you update your page you can earn £7 on average.

Make the most out of your page by uploading images, posting updates on how your training is going and sharing British Heart Foundation facts so your supporters know why you’re fundraising us.

Why is your fundraising so important?

Before the British Heart Foundation was founded 4 in 5 children born with congenital heart disease died before their first birthday. Today in the UK, thanks to research, 4 in 5 survive into adulthood.

Even with this progress coronary heart disease is still the UK’s single biggest killer, but we’re leading the fight against it. To win this fight we need your help. Together we will improve lives.
