Where: Eastbourne to Arundel

Push yourself further in 2018 and test your stamina and determination on the Action Challenge's South Coast Challenge.

The challenge will start in Eastbourne where you can walk, jog, or run 100km along the coastal path & South Downs Way through day & night (for some) on this 24+ hour challenge all the way to Arundel. The route goes through stunning scenery and the undulating path will test you - but it will be incredibly rewarding.

If you don’t want to take part in the full 100k, then there are half (50 km) and quarter (25 Km) challenge options. 

Which ever distance you choose you'll be supported all the way: 

  • Walk at your pace- 24+ hours
  • Jog or run and set a new goal
  • Rest stops with free food & drink
  • Fully signed route
  • Medics, massage, and pace walkers
  • Medal, T shirt, glass of bubbly
  • Training & guides to help you prepare 

Whether you take part as an individual or part of a team, we will be there to support you from when you register to finish line.

You will need to raise the minimum sponsorship amount above depending on your distance. We require 50% of your fundraising target 6 weeks before the challenge (13 July 2018) to secure your place, or you can choose to self-fund your challenge and raise as much as you can for us.

Please note these events are organised by Action Challenge. Participants raising funds for British Heart Foundation will be joined by others, raising money for different charities. Find out more on the Action Challenge website

Training and kit

We have teamed up with fitness industry experts Full Potential to give you training advice and plans to make sure you are ready for the big day. Make sure you read the Trekking Training manual as it provides useful information to take the stress away from training so you can concentrate on fundraising.  

Fundraising

The first step on your fundraising journey is to set up your JustGiving page. Make sure you upload a photo and include the reason why you are taking on this challenge. Your supporters will love to see your progression too, so make sure you upload photos of your training.

Our experienced team are also full of inspirational ideas to kick start your fundraising. 

You will be required to raise 50% of your fundraising six weeks before your challenge to secure your place. The remaining 50% can be sent in up to four weeks after you’ve completed the challenge.
