The Edinburgh Winter Warmer is a walk, jog or run at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh where all the family can join in for a fun-filled day out. Individuals, teams, families with children, buggies and dog walkers are all welcome!

The route

The circular route is 5.2k, starting and finishing at the Holyrood Park playing fields and taking in the spectacular Arthur’s Seat along the way. The 10.4k event is two loops. The route is on tarmac and mostly traffic free, except for a small part towards the end where participants may need to walk, jog or run on the path alongside the road. The first part of the route is quite challenging as there is a 1k gradual incline but participants are rewarded with great views of Edinburgh and across the Forth.

The route will be sign posted, with marshals stationed at key points along the route.

Unfortunately this route is not wheelchair friendly.

Dogs are welcome but need to be kept on a lead.
