Sign up as an Event Volunteer for London to Brighton 2018

17 June 2018

It's not a race. It is a great day out

Returning for 2018 is the London to Brighton Bike Ride and we are looking for volunteers. The Ride raises over £3 million for heart research. 15,000 people take part to beat heart disease for good. And we couldn't do this without the support of our awesome volunteers.

From waving off riders at the start to handing out medals at the finish line, we strive to make sure volunteers are involved from start to finish. The commitment required is flexible to suit you. Whether it is for a few hours or the whole day, the time you give makes a difference.

The Role

As an Event volunteer, you will be the face of the British Heart Foundation. Bring your enthusiasm and revel in the excitement of our iconic London to Brighton Bike Ride. Make lots of noise to motivate our riders and be willing to help with information. Pick the location that works best for you and give your time to a worthy cause.

Where and When

  • The Start Line at Clapham Common opens at 5am until 11 am. You will be helping to check riders in, direct queries and wave them off on their way.
  • The Finish at Brighton Beach Village opens from 7.30 am to 19.30 and volunteers can choose between an AM (7.30-13.30) or PM (13.30-19.30) shift. You will be located on the beach enjoy the party atmosphere, handing out medals, offering refreshments and cheering our cyclists over the finish line.

Why not bring your friends and family to support a great cause and enjoy a great day out. Travel costs can be expensed (within a set limit) and each volunteer will receive food/drinks vouchers for the day.
